Getting started
Setting up your account and connecting Instagram.
Solaris is an AI-powered Instagram Direct Message automation platform for businesses. You connect your Instagram Business or Creator account, add your products and business context, and the AI agent replies to incoming DMs on your behalf 24/7. When a customer shows genuine buying intent, the bot detects it, stops responding, and hands the conversation off to you as a lead.
After signing up, you are prompted to connect via Instagram's official OAuth flow using the Meta Graph API. You are redirected to Instagram's own login page — Solaris never sees your password. Once authorised, Solaris receives a secure access token to read incoming DMs and send replies on your behalf.
Yes. Instagram's API only allows DM access for Business and Creator accounts. Personal accounts are not supported. You can switch for free inside the Instagram app under Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account.
You can add products one by one from your Products dashboard. We also offer a managed onboarding pack where a team member collects your full catalog and adds it for you — useful if you have a large inventory. Products support name, description, price, category, tags, and images.
You can toggle the bot globally from your dashboard. You can also disable it for individual conversations from the Conversations page — useful when you want to take over a chat without stopping automation for all other customers.

Bot & AI
How the AI agent works and what it can do.
Solaris uses OpenAI's paid language models via the OpenRouter API. The model receives context from the last 10 conversation messages, your bot configuration and personality settings, and relevant product or business information. We run hallucination checks on generated replies before they are sent.
When a customer asks about a product, the AI requests a lookup tool that performs a 7-layer database search combining keyword matching, fuzzy matching, and semantic vector matching — across names, categories, descriptions, tags, and other fields. This ensures the bot finds what a customer means even with informal phrasing.
A lead is a conversation where the AI has detected genuine buying intent — signals like asking for pricing, requesting to place an order, or expressing readiness to buy. When detected, the bot stops replying automatically and the conversation is flagged in your Leads dashboard for you to follow up.
Yes. From Bot Personality settings you can configure the bot's name, tone, language style, and additional instructions injected into every conversation. This lets you match your brand voice — formal, casual, or anything in between.
Yes. The entire message pipeline is asynchronous, powered by Celery workers. Solaris handles a large number of concurrent conversations across multiple accounts without delays. A Redis-based deduplication guard ensures the same message is never processed twice.

Billing & subscriptions
Plans, payments, and what happens at the limit.
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe Checkout. Each plan controls how many AI-handled messages and conversations you get per month, and how many products you can add. Billing is managed entirely by Stripe — Solaris never stores your card number or payment details.
Completely. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS–certified processor. All card entry happens on Stripe's hosted checkout page — Solaris never enters the PCI scope and never touches your card data.
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Manage Subscription page. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period. For disputes or refunds, email finance@solaris.app.
Once you reach your monthly message or conversation limit, the bot pauses automated replies until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. Your dashboard shows real-time usage so you always know where you stand.
Yes. Solaris offers a free trial so you can explore the platform before committing. Check the Subscriptions page for current trial availability and duration.

Security & privacy
How your data and your customers' data are handled.
Messages received via webhook are stored encrypted for 7 days, then automatically deleted. Storage uses AES-128-CBC encryption for content, HMAC-SHA256 for integrity, and a URL-safe base64 key format. Raw message text is never written to log files.
No. Authentication uses Instagram's official OAuth flow. You log in directly on Instagram's servers — Solaris only receives a secure access token. Your password is never transmitted to or stored by Solaris. You can revoke access at any time from your dashboard or from Instagram's Authorised Apps settings.
Submit a data deletion request from the Data Deletion page. Our team processes requests within 30 days in compliance with GDPR. For privacy questions, email security@solaris.app.
Yes. Solaris complies with GDPR, CCPA, Meta Platform Policy, and PCI DSS via Stripe. We follow data minimisation principles — collecting only what is strictly necessary. See the Security page for full details.

Account
Managing your profile, language, and account deletion.
You can change your email and profile details from the Edit Profile page. To change or set a password, go to the Password section in account settings. If you signed up via social login and have no password yet, use the Set Password option.
Account deletion is initiated from the Delete Account page in profile settings. This permanently removes your account, connected Instagram access, product catalog, bot configuration, and stored conversation data. Cancel your active subscription first — account deletion does not auto-cancel Stripe billing.
Yes. Use the language toggle in the navigation bar to switch between English and Russian. Support emails in Russian are welcome — our Bishkek team responds in both languages.
